Solvit is an On-Demand Asset and Situation Inspection Platform that sends its closest available roaming Solvers to inspect and assess assets and situations on the go. This ensures minimal interruption to the client's schedule. Through our proprietary platform, Solvit delivers accurate, timely, standardized and accessible reports verifying the existence, condition and value of an asset. Currently, our main business is motor vehicle valuations. Our Mission is to "Bring confidence and a better experience in the verification of assets."

Martin Kiarie
My purpose is to create possibility by advancing the African marketplace. This mission is fueled by a belief that we simply deserve better. I achieve this through a profound understanding of market needs, technology-driven solutions, strategic partnerships and unwavering optimism.
At Solvit Limited, we tackle issues of fraud and poor customer experience in vehicle valuation through our on-demand asset inspection platform that confirms the existence, condition and value of a vehicle; benefiting insurance companies, banks, microfinance firms, brokers, agents, and most importantly, vehicle owners.
I also contribute to other ventures as a Founding Director at Bean Interactive Limited and Nellions Moving and Relocations, and serve as a board member of Q-Sourcing Servtec (KE) and the International School of Advertising (ISA). To enhance my relevance, I adopt a learning culture mainly evidenced by my audiobook library but also my education from institutions like the University of West of England, Stanford University and Alibaba Business School.
I’m honored to have been recognized as one of Kenya’s Top 40 under 40 men, a CEO of the Year at the Top 100 Companies in Kenya Awards, a Rising Star in the Entrepreneur category at the inaugural Rising Stars Awards, and one of the top 25 men in digital. Furthermore, my company, featured in the Top 100 companies in Kenya, earned distinction from the London Stock Exchange Group as a company to inspire Africa.
James Wambugu
James Wambugu is an executive director of Solvit. He has spent a considerable part of his life solving problems that customers face especially in the insurance industry. This generates value to consumers, investors and society in general. His vision is to transform insurance and financial services to help improve the lives of Kenyans and Africans. Make insurance simple, relevant and more inclusive.
He spent 14 years at UAP Old Mutual working with others to build a successful business that played a great role transforming the insurance industry in Kenya and East Africa. James is currently the chairman of Britam General Insurance.
In the wider scheme of things James is involved in the healthcare sector first as chairman of a national panel to develop the framework for universal healthcare system for Kenya in 2019 and lately as a Board member of HHI, an international group delivering healthcare in East Africa. As part of capacity building James has been the co-academic director of the Advanced Management Programme at the Strathmore University Business School, a program that provides leadership development for leaders of business across the private and public sectors in East Africa. He occasionally teaches about the soul of the organization, personal leadership and governance at the business school.
In all these endeavors James draws from his knowledge and experience gained from both academic and work experiences. He has previously worked at PWC in Kenya and the UK, the technology sector and holds an MBA from the University of Nairobi, is a certified public accountant and qualified risk manager.
Francis Ogutu
Representing Ollerai Investments Limited, Mr. Ogutu has been a director of Solvit since 2022. Prior to this, he served as the co-managing director of Cassia Capital Limited from 2008 to 2022, and as the managing director of Lattice Consulting Limited from 2003 to 2007. Mr. Ogutu also worked at PricewaterhouseCoopers (“PWC”) between 1991 and 2003, where he worked in the audit, corporate finance, and telecoms project finance practices of the firm, with stints in Nairobi and London. He holds an MBA degree (with distinction) from the University of the Witwatersrand, a B.Ed degree in mathematics and physics from Egerton University, and is a Certified Public Accountant.
